The original structure consisted of a one story wood framed cart barn at a lower elevation, and a two-story wood framed building with its base at the elevation of the cart barn roof. This project consisted of the removal of the existing two-story building, with the lower cart barn to remain. A new 17,000 square foot one story wood-framed structure replaced the existing two-story structure. The roof of the cart barn became a new 15,000 square foot roof terrace and landscape area. Reinforcement of the existing cart barn framing was needed to support the increased loads due to the new terrace and landscape space.
