The Mission of The Shed is “to celebrate and nurture the connection between good farming, good cooking, and good eating. We are a food community that brings people together and provides the tools to learn about growing, preparing, and sharing delicious food”.
The Shed project consisted of a 10,080 square foot two-story commercial pre-manufactured steel building. The overall cost of construction was approximately $2.5 million. For this project, ZFA’s major scope consisted of engineering and drafting the foundation system along with other items that would not normally be designed by the metal building engineer. The site is underlain by liquefiable soil and therefore a non-conventional foundation system was used.
