Timber Cove Fire Protection District
Cazadero | California
This 3,500 square foot facility features high bays and concrete masonry walls. Trees from the project site were milled and used to build the structure, which was architecturally designed to fit the rough Sonoma coast. Glue-laminated beams and trusses make up the open volume roof framing, finished with exposed rough-sawn redwood rafters. Roof decking is tongue and groove over the rafters. Currently, a new 800 square foot truck bay is being added to the facility. Original construction cost was approximately $1 million. New truck bay is $150,000.
