This project consists of a single story building of approximately 12,500 square feet comprising five digital media studio spaces with accessory spaces. Minor demolition of site improvements were required, including the relocation of an existing score board, and new site improvements in the area of work. The building sits on weak, expansive soil and has a pier supported 8” concrete structural slab foundation. A dramatic steel-framed corridor and entry structure highlight the building.  A steel cable brace system is utilized to support lateral loads from the elevated corridor roof.  The structural steel is all exposed, creating detailing challenges and adding interest. Construction Cost: $5.1M | Completed: 2013
