Alex D. Alaura Reyes, SE

Associate

Alex always wanted to return to his Bay Area roots and joined the ZFA San Francisco office immediately after graduating from Cal Poly. Throughout the years, he has helped develop the office’s custom residential Design Studio team, which focuses on the entire breadth of design, from seemingly simple renovations to extravagant, modern ground-up custom homes. He has dabbled in a handful of commercial projects as well.

Highlights:

    • Actively maintains key relationships with new and existing clients, developing business both through great work product and strong communication
    • Strongly believes each new project deserves a thoughtful and unique approach that balances aesthetics, cost, and schedule
    • Leads internal ZFA task groups centered on operations and advocates for the mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our industry through ZFA’s DEI committee

Alex is passionate about clear communication throughout all phases of a project and always keeps an eye out for new and unique approaches to design, such as modular construction, energy-efficient “passive house” detailing, and sustainable practices.
