We kindly request your arrival between 5-5:30pm at Savage & Cooke Distillery (S&C). After a tasting and brief tour of the facility, guests will make their way to the Mare Island Brewing Company (MIBC) between 6-7pm. MIBC is a short, ten minute walk on flat, paved ground from S&C. Shuttles will be available to transport anyone who does not wish to/is not able to walk.
If you arrive after 6:30pm, please join us at the Mare Island Brewing Company for dinner, drinks, music, games, and great company.
Savage & Cooke is indoors and will include a meet and greet (standing), appetizers, spirits tasting, and some walking will be required during tours of the facility. Mare Island Brewing Company is an indoor/outdoor space, and the event will include passed appetizers, a full dinner, and dessert with dining stations in both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Tables and seating will be available throughout the space (no assigned seats), and guests are encouraged to mingle and enjoy the wonderful food, drinks, music, and old-time games.
Transportation
Shuttles will be available for round-trip transportation from multiple locations. Shuttles will depart between 3-4pm (depending on your location); we will reach out to you regarding exact timing before the event. Shuttles will leave to return to their original location at 10pm.
For those traveling from San Francisco, ferry admission will be provided for the trip to Mare Island. The ferry will depart from the San Francisco Ferry Building at 3:30pm. It will arrive in Vallejo at 4:30pm, and a shuttle will transport you for the ~5 minute drive to Mare Island. Shuttle service will be provided for the return trip.
Parking is available on site at both Savage & Cooke Distillery and Mare Island Brewing Company. Unless posted otherwise, please park wherever is most convenient. Please see below for a map of parking locations nearest the venues.
Attire
Cocktail attire is encouraged.
Comfortable, walkable footwear is also encouraged as there will be some walking on the tour of Savage & Cooke Distillery and the walk from S&C to MIBC (shuttles are available in lieu of walking to MIBC for those who want/need them).
As the venues are on the Bay and partially outdoors, please bring a warmer layer to accommodate the typically cool, windy evening air.
About Mare Island
Mare Island contains a retired Naval base that was used for over 100 years, including throughout WWII. It is currently in the process of being revitalized and redeveloped for a variety of uses and has been identified as an Opportunity Zone. As such, there are development opportunities for a wide variety of planned (and yet-to-be-planned) projects.
