Minimum qualifications:
A Senior Engineer shall have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural or structural engineering. Professional registration as a licensed Civil Engineer is required; a Structural Engineer license is preferred. A master’s degree is appreciated. Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and practice is required. Must have the ability and desire to learn project-engineering skills as well as be personable to maintain positive client relationships for ZFA.
A Senior Engineer is to meet the responsibilities of an Engineer in addition to being responsible for the successful management of projects. Senior Engineers are responsible for: the quality of structural engineering work performed, project profitability for structural engineering projects, high-quality client service, effective utilization of staff, maintenance of the positive reputation of the office and some marketing tasks. A Senior Engineer possesses the primary daily design and technical skills necessary to conduct work with a great degree of independence. A Senior Engineer also shows initiative in assisting with office- and firm-wide improvements.
Salary range:
$95,000 – $115,000
This range reflects base salary only and may vary depending on experience, education, skills, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for mid-year and year-end performance bonuses, as well as participation in our 401(k) profit-sharing program. As a non-exempt employee, this role is also paid overtime for additional hours worked beyond 8 in a day or 40 in a week. Bonuses, 401 (k) profit sharing, and overtime are important parts of total compensation and reflect our commitment to rewarding performance and long-term contribution.
