The new 13,800-square-foot Auxiliary Gym, located next to Los Altos High School’s new Engineering Wing, includes a full basketball court as well as multipurpose space for holding performances and presentations. The structure consists of special steel concentric braced frames with CastConnex brace connectors and metal stud wall framing. Its translucent exterior wall system is supported by steel girts. The gymnasium’s high roof line is almost completely covered with solar panels, contributing to the building’s sustainability goals.
