ZFA served as the structural engineer for the Oak Knoll Residence project, which encompassed the design and construction of a new two-story, 7,600-square-foot home with a 1,150-square-foot garage, as well as a new single-story, 1,000-square-foot guest house.
The main residence is modern with vaulted ceilings and generous glazing, consisting of a wood-framed structure with plywood sheathed shear walls and structural steel moment frames. The foundations for the residence and guest house are post-tensioned concrete slab at grade.
